In that instance there is nothing better. I absolutely love German
Shepherds. We had four of them, and they exhibited "pack behavior" when
you were around them. 

My greatest fun was to try to jump into the pool before they could nip
me from behind... and the strangest thing was that they would always
spot me half of the perimeter of the pool just to give me a fighting
chance. They'd stare right at me, with some teeth showing ... and wait.
I'd run like hell for the diving board and they would have circled the
distance and be right behind me off of the board. Wayward and 4
Shepherds in the air at once... I'm sure the sight and the sounds of
yodeling by yours truly and the barking and growls of 4 adult Shepherds,
just before landing in the water, was worthy of youtube! The Chocolate
labs here at Camp Happy are great, but there is no danger to 'em and
they absolutely refuse to play rough. Murphy, the male, weighs in at
around 85 pounds and has the disposition of a bunny rabbit. <chuckles>
He'd probably lick someone ripping my computer off. :) Ric
