However . . . .
if your "ears" are a laptop, one is left with little choice but to
increase the signal strength, unless one wants to modify the laptop. In
essence, I think the question is (or at least I'd like to know) "what
hardware would one use that is similar to what one might find being used
to provide a wireless hot spot for a small collection of homes or a
small shopping mall?"
