At one company I ended up moving my ssh daemon at home to 443 because
that was the only port they allowed through and used ssh and mutt to
write emails from home.
Of course it's just as easy to put a squirremail instance on your box at
home and run it over https
However not everyone wants to configure their own
dovecot+squirrelmail+postfix+clamav+amavis virtual domain setup.
