In all the years that I was plagued with having to manage Oracle
databases, not once did I see any evidence that Oracle knew how to write
good code. Everything is massively bloated & buggy, much of which is due
to feature creep, but there's also their idea that they can somehow do a
better job at _everything_ than their competitors, even when they are
clearly doing a much worse job. The fact that Oracle feels the need to
have their own tape drive driver in Linux speaks volumes about their
arrogance & stupidity.
