I do not know Cups, but I always try to install packages, instead of
copying them, unless I know them inside-out and I'm sure I won't make
any mistakes.   You might get most of it in the copy, but a couple of
years down the line, you might pick up issues on packages because they
were copied, and not installed.   

This is a fight we have at the office.  My bosses want me to work fast -
I prefer working slower, and being more thorough in my approach.
