Anyone using Tripwire?

We used tripwire for years, but I never liked it much as it tends to
voluminous reports, and isn't particularly easy to keep updated as software
is updated.
I finally wrote a python program that does what tripwire does
(and uses tripwire configuration files), but the reports are much
shorter, and it's far easier to keep current with changes.
I've also played with aide a bit, but never used it seriously.
