I, too, am sad about the troubles in Gentoo land. It's a really fine
distro, and a great many find the portage process to be considerably
less "obfuscated" than those who have an axe to grind would want us to
believe.

Like any open source product with more then a very few developers and
users, Gentoo has its pluses and minuses and feuds. I just hope there
is a solution. The only ray of light in the blog postings was the
(slim) possibility that Daniel Robbins is still the effective legal
president of the foundation according to New Mexico law.
