--- You can hook the pc to the serial port and use something like
hyperterminal.  You will have to reboot probably.  And you might
have to fiddle with the settings in whatever s/w you use.

to display the error log   errpt for a list  errpt -a for a full
listing.

This RS6000 gets the monitor LEDs flashing and the montor is just blank.
( The server is still working - I 've rebooted and after that I can
telnet to it and run all the programs there just fine ).

I do not know if the problem is with the controller or with the monitor
itself. I cannot test it because this monitor has three connectors for
separate RGB signals, iow, it is not a standard PC monitor.

On RS6000, which command helps you to display the error log ?

and do you know where  I can get an old monitor of this type ?

Or is there any kind of connector that will convert the RGB signals to
the one the PC monitor uses ?
