Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core - fc6

HI Everyone

   I am running fedora core 6 (used to run suse) and I am at a loss with
the following error.

    I installed my fedora core machine 2 days ago and from the first
time I have been getting this error when trying to start my Package
manager:

 Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core

    Can anyone assist?

    SO far I could not get the neccessary info to have this fixed.
