LCD Optical Illusion?

I have a Samsung 17" (bought back when 19"ers were really pricey) and
a ViewSonic 19". Both I would recommend. The only problem with the VS
is the overly bright power light staring you in the face. I put a
piece of tape over it, and it's still bright enough to be seen!.
