Suse 10.1 freezed :) SOLVED :)

Thanks a lot for your prompt replies and suggestions.

After changing the vga option to vga=normal, I could see the boot screen
and found it hung at starting udevd.

Googgle search for that udevd shows somebody else had similar
configuration ( Suse 10.1, x86_64, Intel 865 ) and similar problem.
He mentioned something about his SATA drives so I turned off my SATA
controller ( fortunately, my drives are SCSI, not SATA ) and that fixed
the problem.

As all of you said, it is indeed a conflict between hardware and the
kernel. I did update the kernel before I had this problem.

Again, thanks everybody.

I am going to update the kernel now to see if I can turn on my SATA.
