nVidia and Squeak and libGL

It's loading everything, according to the log, as I had to reload the
kmod-nvidia rpm from livna to get my machine back to working. That's why
I asked, as I don't know sh*t about why one is different from the other
and what specifically had to be removed. 

While I have a 64bit machine, I'm running i686. I removed kmod-nvidia,
went to run level 3, ran the installer which had to compile. I let it do
it's thing and run all over anything it needed to and it seemed to
install OK. I re-booted and did not get the nvidia logo, which I cherish
immensely. Got a boot message saying it could not find the nvidia.ko
file to load. I found the nvidia.ko file where it should be yet it
wouldn't load up correctly, so I just re-installed the livna version and
I'm back up and running. I have no clue as to what failed nor how. Ric
