nVidia and Squeak and libGL

OK, I ripped out the kmod-nvidia from the livna repo, switched to init 3
and re-ran the installer. Rebooted. It seems now that the response time
is really slow, I'm visibly seeing the refresh page flipping in Slo-mo.
You run Fedora, do I remove anything else from the standard install? 

GLX gears won't run

[root at iam ~]# glxgears
Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
[root at iam ~]#                

I let the installer set up the conf files, so do I hand-edit the xorg
conf file? One-step-at-a-time, Ric
