SCP speed question

That does seem a touch slow, but not significantly so.  Of course scp 
speed is also going to be capped by other factors, such as disk speed (on 
both ends), CPU speed (on both ends, but only for really old CPUs), and 
overall network traffic eating into bandwidth.
