Using GParted to shrink an NTFS Volume so I can Install Linux

Definitely defrag first!!!!

I've gotten really good results using the Ubuntu partitioner (Dapper
and Edgy ). You don't have to install. After shrinking the NTFS
partition, just terminate the install. I prefer the Alternative
installation disks so tht I don't have to wait for a Gui to start.

Also, after shrinking the NTFS partition, your next Windows boot will
be long - full fsck required.
