New MB recommendations

Yes, I think it might be good to keep my controller.

This also sounds like a good idea.

As I fuss around with this, I see that there is such a thing as a 1 GHz 
P3.  The Intel MB I currently have says that it will take a P3.  I will 
get out the manual for the motherboard, but you any of you think that it 
might be possible to stick in a P3 and somehow select the clock speed to 
be a gig or is this fixed by the clock chip on the MB?
