Ah, this explains why sidux us useless on my old emachines with a new 
(very cheap!) ecs m/b with ati crap. Gets a "no signal" on my lcd. Works 
great on my old nvidia.

Debian testing installed but did not properly detect the video, so I ran 
knoppix, grabbed the xorg.conf, which works on Debian. (it's a windows 
xp machine anyway which my family uses)
