I'm running 2.3. I've never needed to configure anything, but the way
to do it is Tools -> [ Customize | Options ].  Printing and fonts in
particular have "just worked" for so many releases under
KDE/GNOME/XFCE4/???? that I've forgotten about any need to configure.

Maybe you could state your configuration needs more succinctly.
