EVDO = high speed cellular wireless data. You get a PCcard that plugs into a
laptop with a little rubber duckie antenna. If you're in an area of good
cellular coverage, it's near DSL speeds. If you're in the bottom of a barrel
in the outer boonies, like me, you may need to put up an antenna mast. Trust
me, it's waaay better than satellite. Who are the main cellular providers in
your area?
WISP = Wireless ISP (you're looking for the David Bandel of your town). If
done properly it's just as good or better than DSL/cable. WISPs are most
everywhere these days.
