I agree that this is a good idea.

Also, I always trim the 'expect <some full line of text or more>' to
'expect <some unique bit of text in the very last line before I need
to shove in a reply>'.

Also, <rant> the author of any product that requires console prompts
to install should be strung up by the heels</rant>. Rational ClearCase
