I've been leaping through the same hoops since Corel abandoned Linux.
Actually, the F7 how-to is quite similar to my original WP8.1 transplant
to OL procedure.
Step 2 exploits the ability of Fedora 6 and 7 to load some critical
support files WP8.1 included - libc.so.5 and libm.so.5 - so hunting
down and installing the obsolete libc5 is not necessary. (If anyone has
WP8, i.e. does not have the two files located in ~/wpbin, I can send
them to you if you want to try this how-to. These are small files)
The extra steps 3 and 4 are needed because WP8.1 expects certain files
to be in the places they were ten years ago.
Steps 5 and 6 replace using type1inst.
I'm not sure the long script is needed. Try installing per my procedure
but leave out the last step and see how it works.
Open or start a document and manipulate fonts and attributes. If WP8.1
freezes or crashes then try the script; if font manipulation and
printing are normal, please let me know and I'll edit the how-to.
