Rick, you must have been there during the financial crisis or the SARS
epidemic. HK's economy has rebounded remarkably since then. One thing I
just loved about HK was the buzz I'd get every morning (without
caffeine). Very exciting. The closest thing approximating it for me in
my home in Singapore is the smell of diesel at 5am in the morning (long
story -- don't ask!).
