I'm sorry gentlemen, the sugar-as-an-excuse-for-a-real-drink does not 
wash here. Ernest Hemmingway and I have an affinity for the only real 
drink:  a dry martini.  Working on one as I type.  By the time you read 
the post, I may have had another!
