In fact, I am upgrading my workstation hardware and doing a fresh Suse
installation so I try to get all the necessary hardware in order not to
have to reinstall.

The software I am using have a lot of disk activities so my priority is
to improve disk access. ( Memory monitor shows very little swap space is
used so I assume memory is enough ).

The controller is Adaptec 2200S with two scsi drives Fujitsu MAX3036NP .
I think of adding one or two more hard drives to gain more disk
performance.

Any advice is really appreciated.
