why Ubuntu got it all wrong

This article has basically nothing to do with Ubuntu. Mostly it's an essay against Gnome. And Ubuntu didn't get it any more wrong than any other Gnome-centric distro (ala Red Hat / Fedora and a host of others).

The author makes some very valid points but the title has nothing to do with the content of the article and appears to be a thinly veiled attempt to solicit links in the lately popular "I'm trying to find something wrong with Ubuntu" fad. 

You fell for it.

Can we just rename this list to Lonni's-desperate-but-futile-attempts-to-make-us-all-also-bear-a-grudge-against-Ubuntu list?
