Kurt,
If you're using KDE there is a program called KView which allows you to view
photos in a slide show fashion. In this case you just have to gather all of
your photos into one directory and burn a CD. When you start KView you open
the directory and either can then page through the photos manually or
automatically. The only thing I haven't yet found is a way to vary the hold
time when paging automatically.
