There are ways to use things like lynx, links, w3m, text browsers as
well as command line utilities to access SQL-Ledger.  However, the way
the screens are laid out, even POS works quickly and well with a GUI
browser.  I haven't worked with anything except a GUI browser,
however, so can't speak from experience.  I do know some folks are
doing things from cron, but that's about all I can tell you for sure.
