filesystem for mail

What filesystem would you guys suggest for keeping mail in maildir format?

In my one-user workstation the mail is delivered via procmail to a
directory in a reiserfs partition. The reason I choosed reiserfs is that
I read it was appropriate for lots of small files. (My other partitions
have ext3 and ext2.)
With the recent unhappy developments, maybe I should think of
alternatives. Any comments?
