I just purchased 3 of the Saturn external kits from Addonics (
addonics.com ). I've used their removable drive setup before and it was
very good. These external ones can also be used as internal drives.
You can get models or adapters to let you put in 2.5" or 3.5" drives,
ATA, SATA or SATA-II. Then different cables allow you to connect the
device to the PC via USB or FireWire or eSATA and you can still use it
as a removable drive and just slide it back in the PC receiver.
They are supposed to be delivered today. I have SATA-II drives but
no eSATA adapter yet so I'm using USB for now. Should get to try them
tomorrow and see if they work as advertised.
