No. We've recovered from and corrected many (but not all) misdeeds of
prior administrations. I've been around since the Truman
administration, though certainly not old enough to have had a first-hand
recollection of it. But my memory of administrations of the last 50
years and history in general is good enough to see the damage that this
one has inflicted and to know how long it might take for correction.
Several generations might be sufficient.

That is hard for me to imagine. I think that, at least over the short
term, Americans can learn.
