I think one topic to add would nice a directory where people could write a
paragraph to two about 'nice goodie' programs they have used.
For instance, about a year and a half ago I used a program called 'easytag'
which does a nice job of manipulating MP3 files - renaming, internal info,
etc. I used it for awhile and then forgot about it. And I spent the last
6 months trying to remember the name of the program.
But more importantly, people are always 'name dropping' the names of programs
on various lists ("has anyone tried Kelp-Sucker under FC?") and I often
don't know what the program does. If there was a place to put a
description, people might be inclined to look up the program and write up a
description.
Just my $.02
