I concur, on the referral part. As far as bit rot is concerned, not everything is and it is still valuable. I remember a while back Lonnie soliciting contributers to update their contributions (which I *finally* did). But most if it is still VERY valuable. As I said in another post, I have received enumerable "Thank You" emails on the flash card read stuff I contributed. The only reason I have't been more active is (1) I have been swamped at work in a way that I wasn't a couple of years ago, (2) personal stuff has taken my time away. Otherwise I would be VERY active, and trying new stuff as I did early on.
But even if the site is not maintained, some of the material is still relevent, where would this material go? And, as Shawm says, is it a hosting/cost issue?
