Ah, then it would also hold true that Fedora may have the same problem?
<GASP!> There's plenty of people on the Fedora list using laptops that
report no problems at all and give kudos for the great effort. Checking
out the hardware list has traditionally saved many a linux user, of any
flavor, from future grief. God knows, all the HOWTO's keep pounding on
this theme... "Check the Hardware List!" for a reason. Yes, there are
too damn many chipsets. I'll add that too damn many don't share their
toys either and need to be avoided. That's voting with your feet.
<smiles> I just happen to really like Fedora and the crowd that hangs
there. It's become pretty much like here, now that I've straightened
them all out... except Lonnie, Kurt and Tony. They're incorrigible. Ric
