I know I don't give the hardware the beating you folks do.  You're on it
24 hours a day for LONG periods.  I just have it on 3 or 4 hours at a
time, but I've had a WD 40 gig drive for about 4 years and have
reformatted it a number of times and it just does the battery bunny
thing... it jut keeps going.
