Whenever someone uses that as the reason why they're creating something, I 
have to wonder if they've asked themselevs why?  If it doesn't exist 
already, usually the reason is because there's no market for it, or 
there's a better way.

Its like the folks here in the valley who have no clue what they want to 
do, and they think that by searching for the product or technology that 
doesn't exist already they'll be both successful and immune to 
competition.  In reality, they'll likely never find enough customers to be 
successful, or if they do, there will soon be many otrhers who will take 
notice, and they will have stiff competition.

I'm by no means discounting your work, just pointing out that your primary 
reason seems to be a dangerous one.
