Well, for me it's just the opposite! I kept using pine when I found out
that I could use vim with it! Anyway, if you're looking for an editor,
how about nano? It's supposed to be an improvement over pico (don't know
the details). It has the same general feel as pico. (I don't know about
it being dos-like, since I'm really completely ignorant on dos-related
matters, having nil experience with it.)
