Personally, I use OpenBSD.  Differences to me are along the lines of
differences between Linux distros -- i.e., Linux is Linux, BSD is BSD.
 However, there are some differences that go a bit deeper.  FreeBSD
has better support.

What exactly is driving your need for BSD?  This will be a better
indicator of which is the one you want to look at.

Opinion:  less apps support than Linux, but probably a bit more
secure.  Personally, I really like pf (packet filter) which also does
bandwidth limiting.  It's a bit easier and more comprehensive in that
way than Netfilter/IPTables.  I do essentially the same things with
both Linux and OpenBSD.  For me, it's a matter of the client's choice.
 OpenBSD prides itself on being the "most secure" OS out of the
box.<yawn>
