Thanx for the edification. The confusing part was his use of the 2835
number by itself. No one would refer to a Debian kernel as just 2.
And BTW, the kernel build numbers look more like 2.6.17-2-686-SMP, and
the like, substituting -K7, -486, -586, and with or without the -SMP,
and perhaps with -bigmem or -vserver, etc. Very simple system for
very simple people like myself. I'm confused enough as it is.
So is 2835 SMP or have any other special attributes hidden in the
number? Or is this a case of "one size fits none"? Guess since I d/l
FC6 I should load it up on a sandbox and find out.
