I'm not sure as I'm not a ubuntu user, but isn't Colin Watson
responsible for the ubuntu installer? I guessing here as before I
quit Debian he was part of the installer team. Perhaps email him
with your questions? I've always found him to be quite helpful in
the past when I've had questions.
