Yup, there are lots of editors out there...    

But THE (The Hessling Editor) is based on Xedit from VM mainframe days and I 
find it very easy to use for me since I spent many, many years in that 
environment.

And Regina is the REXX equivalent and works with THE so that I can do many 
things with the two.

I have Python on my 'to-do' list but it's waay down there.
