Kontact crashing

I am running Kontact version 1.1.2.  When I launch it I get:

*** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing)
ERROR: Communication problem with kontact, it probably crashed.
harry at 2[~]$ KCrash: Application 'kontact' crashing...
harry at 2[~]$

If I run Kmail (version 1.9.1) seperately, and then run Kontact, both open 
fine seperately.

I am running KDE version 3.5.2.

Any ideas what my trouble may be?
