SUMMARY: usb & fedora 5

I finally tracked down my usb problem, the belkin 4 port usb hub 
has gone flakey.  Just coincidence that it happened at the same
time I upgraded.

Net Llamas comment about dmesg got me thinking hardware as opposed
to software.
