REMOVE THE linux SYMLINK!!!

The kernel developers have gone to great lengths to keep people from
hosing their system.  Your distro should have kernel headers that get
installed into /usr/include.  These kernel headers provide a stable
build environment.  You will probably end up with 2.6.12 headers or
perhaps a lower version.  Please use them or expect no end of problems
(like SEGFAULTs).  Your glibc and glibc-dev was built against a
particular set of kernel headers.  Don't lightly change things unless
you know exactly what you're doing (and if you did, you still probably
wouldn't).
