I can see where she's coming from, as I do not like the 
Thunderbird-Firefox combination: it seems like it takes forever for the 
other to load if I want to view a webpage link in Tbird, or want to send 
a message from Firefox, and so I have been reluctant to give up Mozilla. 
Additionally, there are times that I like to be able to load a webpage 
to edit it, and this feature seems to be lost in Firefox.

When I started using FC5, I went to SeaMonkey, and have been pleased 
with it, for the most part. Have you considered telling her that it is 
the successor to Mozilla and loading it to let her try it?
