You probably missed the interchange between Mike Andrew and myself
soon after I joined. I managed to comingle terms about PCI and ISA
cards thus showing my total ignorance, and I was royally roasted at
considerable length for being a troll. In those days I had many years
experience with mainframe computers, but my ignorance of PCs was
almost total. Back then I wouldn't have known whcih was which, PCI or
ISA, if I cracked open a PC. To make it even more ridiculous, I had to
discover what a troll was (I thought they were native to Norway and
lived under bridges).
Anyway, Mike was always suspecting the worst of people who asked
typical newbie questions.
