Or not.  For water, perhaps.  I've also had days where it seemed I
couldn't reach parts of the Internet in the states -- can you say
"peering agreement gone south"?  Lots of bickering.

I'm also not happy about legislation that several techno-neanderthals
are trying to introduce that would allow the phone companies to become
their own version of M$ deciding where you want to go today.

C&W's incompetence aside, I think I'll stay.  They only tried once to
regulate the Internet here (by blocking 24 VoIP ports).  That lasted
about a month until the supreme court slapped sense into them.  They
haven't tried it since, although C&W is saber rattling about blocking
ADSL users from using VoIP (also won't work -- I'll just offer
encrypted tunnels to those folks).
