Toshiba laptop and Ubuntu

Folks:
I'm laid up after knee surgery and got bored, so I decided to install
Linux (Ubuntu 6.06)on my old Toshiba satellite model A45-150. Always
hated having winblows and the Toshiba proprietary stuff on it. Much to
my surprise it installed faster and easier then winblows and works much
better too. Everything I've checked works great, sound, wireless nic,
battery management. Didn't have to tweak anything yet. Well I'm going to
play with and see if I can break anything. ;^) Will report anything of
interest as it comes up.
