[OT] Worldcup 2006 ?

I wasn't watching the world cup until I got married and discoverd that 
my wife (who is half english) likes to watch the football so I'm up till 
1am this morning watching England beat Paraguay 1 0 off a david beckham 
free kick.

Now it looks as if I'm going to sleeping on the couch while the wife 
tunes in. The problem is that Australia also has gotten into the world 
cup this year and so we are going to be following 2 teams progress.

Some things I have noted.

	The players seem to throw themselves to the ground and appear 
to suffer match ending injuries and then miraculously recover after a 
penalty is given to their team.
	It's followers are passionate about, although somewhat 1 eyed in 
favour of their team, about the rules (my wife seemed only to see 'bad 
decisions' when they went against England last night)
