I've always been curious about this line that occurs in every kernel
boot on every PC that I've ever encountered::

[ Pick any chipset ] not 100%% native mode: will probe irqs later

In my case this is SIS5513.

>From my experience over the past 7-8 years, all controllers are 'not
100% native', so what is native mode and what does this line really
mean?
