Laptop battery useage

Lithium based batteries are about the opposite of nickel batteries.
Lithiums should be recharged before they fully drain and have no recharge memory.
A decent battery should last for 500+ recharge/discharge cycles under normal
usage. Expect lithiums to need replacing every 3 or so years under low draw
conditions and every 2 years or so under high draw conditions. High temps
will also lower the life span of the lithium batteries.
If you have a digital readout that seems to say otherwise just do a full
discharge/charge every month or so and this will allow the readout to fully
recalibrate itself.
So to answer your question, just as you are doing will be the best for
your battery.
